Announcing the First-Ever Blues Service at the Epiphany Center for the Arts

ree

The Blues Culture Network is proud to announce the launch of a new tradition: Blues Service, an event dedicated to celebrating the music we love, the culture that surrounds it, and the individuals who keep it thriving.

On Sunday, November 23, 2025, Blues Service will take place at the Epiphany Center for the Arts (201 S. Ashland Ave., Chicago), featuring live Blues performances and a special ceremony to honor leaders in the Blues community.

Honoring Those Who Keep the Blues Alive

At the heart of Blues Service is recognition. Each year, we will shine a spotlight on individuals whose work and artistry make a lasting impact on the Blues. This year, we are calling on the community to help us select the first honorees in three categories:

  • Steward of the Blues: Honoring behind-the-scenes contributors — managers, organizers, venue operators, promoters, and community pillars — whose steady dedication sustains the Blues community and keeps opportunities alive.

  • Champion of the Blues: Recognizing individuals outside the Blues industry who use their platform, profession, or artistry to spotlight Blues culture, bringing the music into new spaces and reaching wider audiences.

  • Ambassador of the Blues: Presented to a musician who embodies the heart of the Blues, preserving its heritage while sharing its power with the world and inspiring others to carry the tradition forward.

Nominations are now open! Submit your nominations here: Nomination Form Deadline: October 8, 2025

A New Tradition for the Blues

Blues Service represents the mission of the Blues Culture Network: to honor the past, uplift the present, and create pathways for the future of the Blues. By coming together to celebrate and recognize those who contribute to this culture, we hope to ensure that the Blues not only survives, but thrives for generations to come.

We look forward to seeing you on November 23rd as we gather to make history with the very first Blues Service.
